Adults

Something for Everyone.

Helping adults connect real faith with real life is the overall goal of our Adult Ministries. Life as a disciple of Jesus happens best when we are connected with other Christians. Just as Jesus gathered His initial disciples into a community where they could encourage, support and care for each other, as Jesus’ disciples today, we need communities where we can learn, serve and grow.

At Christ Lutheran, we foster such community through adult Sunday classes, weekly Bible studies, music opportunities, small groups and fellowship events throughout the year. Read on and explore the 'Helpful Links' at the bottom of this page to learn more!

SUNDAY SCHOOL, WEDNESDAYS TOGETHER & WEEKLY CLASSES

Staff Contact: Mary Parker

At our Providence location, we offer a variety of in-person and virtual/online Adult Sunday School classes. Sunday School meets throughout the school year from 10:00-10:45 a.m. (with breaks over Christmas and summer vacation). On Wednesday nights, be sure to check out and join us for Wednesdays Together programming. Dinner is served from 5:00-6:00 p.m. ($) and classes and Music, Tech & Drama activities start around 6:00 p.m. Nursery is available for ages 0-36 months on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

We also have other Weekly Classes and Bible Studies to choose from throughout the entire year with both in-person and online options.

MUSIC, TECH & DRAMA

Staff Contact: Mark Johanson or Bill Porter

At Christ Lutheran and each of our campuses, the most important thing we do is worship, and our Music, Tech & Drama teams greatly enhance that experience. No matter if your worship style is traditional, contemporary, or something in between, your musical talents and gifts are welcome. We have adult vocal ensembles, instrumental groups, liturgical dance and more. We have novice musicians and singers as well as trained professionals. If your passion is dancing or ringing bells, singing praise music or acting—or even operating a video camera or helping in the sound booth—there is a place for you.

SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

Staff Contact: Mary Parker

Church is about community, and that can take various forms. We have community when we worship together on Sunday mornings or when we have a meal together on Wednesday evenings. We have community when we build a Habitat House together or serve on a committee. But nowhere is that community more deeply connected, nurtured and celebrated than in a small group.

At Christ Lutheran, you will find a variety of small groups that reach out to different ages, interests and meeting times. The small group you join will be an authentic, new community for you to grow together in faith, give you a call when you are sick, and celebrate with you when your family reaches milestones.
