Winter/Spring, 2017

CREED – Led by Pastor Scott and Pastor Drew   Forum

What Christians Believe and Why. Powerful answers about what Christians believe are contained in the Apostles’ Creed, a historic statement of foundational Christian faith. In this class, you’ll have an opportunity to explore what Christians believe, why it matters, and how to share it with others. Topics include the nature of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, The Church, Forgiveness, and Resurrection. In a day and age when there are many different perceptions of what Christians believe, this class will empower you to clarify and deepen your faith.

Women Making Connections-Led by Marcy Farr & D’Linda Highum   Worship Parlor

This class will continue to study the book of John through Spring 2017. This class is for women of all ages and focuses on learning directly from the Bible and from each other. We share prayer requests, laughter, and value our weekly time set aside for fellowship with other women.

Joshua – Led by Hans Teich    Adult Library

This class will study the amazing book of Joshua. After the Israelites left Egypt in Exodus and following the 40-year journey through the wilderness in Numbers, they were now under the leadership of Joshua and received God’s permission to enter the promised land.  The crossing of the Jordan river leads to the conquering of Jericho followed by several battles with the inhabitants of Canaan. Guided by God, the Israelites celebrate several victories and occupy the land.  The second half of the book covers the distribution of the land among the tribes of Israel as it had been decided earlier.  The book closes with a new covenant between God and the Israelites promising to serve God forever. The book is a witness of Israel’s faith in a God, who intends to establish His Kingdom on earth. We invite you to come and join the Bible Study!

Christian Classics Book Study- Led by Geoff Maibohm    Room W 165

Why not make reading the entire New Testament one of your New Year’s Resolutions? Take part in the Community Bible Experience at Christ Lutheran beginning January 8th and you’ll read the 27 books of the New Testament in eight weeks. Instead of going it alone, you’ll be able to have real conversations about the Bible—no matter where you are in your faith journey. Join Pastor Scott and Pastor Drew for this Wednesdays Together class where we will begin the year with weekly conversations and teaching about the Scripture readings and how they intersect with day to day life! Discover the complete story. For eight weeks, let’s read big, read real, and read together.

Good Soil: Class for Parents with Young Children   Christ Chapel

This is a 45-minute-long class that will meet from 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm in Christ Chapel primarily for parents with younger children. While younger children are engaged in Wednesday night activities, this class is a way to spend time in God’s Word with others and have conversations about the amazing and challenging task of raising children who are strong, healthy, followers of Christ. Be reminded that your life, however messy and wonderful it may feel, is good soil where God is planting His Word!
