McPIE needs your help! There are volunteer opportunities for every interest, talent, passion and time frame. Please take a moment to indicate your areas of interest.





Family Night
Transportation, Meals, School Store, Childcare, Elementary, Middle School Clubs and Tutoring, Hall Monitors, Administrative Tasks. Come visit one evening and see all the action and options! Some volunteers start as early as 4:15 and others as late as 6:30 PM. Most volunteer jobs require less than 2 hours. Just stop by McClintock Middle School any Tuesday night, and we'll give you a tour. 6:15 - 7:15 p.m. is prime time to see it all.

ESL Tutor/Translator Availability (hold SHIFT key to select multiple below)

Healthcare Professional
We are working to identify healthcare professionals to help with health screenings, health education, and other assistance.

Your Specialty

Newsletter, Website – Help with newsletter production, mailings, or updating website.

Freedom School Volunteer
Be a Reader one morning this summer (8:20 – 9 a.m.), shop for supplies, provide afternoon activity or chaperone a field trip.

Family Circles
Be a community partner and stay in contact with one family. Share a special talent, interest, skill, or career – During Tuesday Family Nights, one summer afternoon, or afterschool during the school year. For example, a nurse could talk about a career in healthcare and show how to use a stethoscope. A group of engineers is leading a hands-on Engineering Club now. Ladies from CLC have helped summer campers make lasagna.

Your Special Talent or Skill

Any subject, any age, anytime – Tuesday nights, daytime, afterschool, summer. High school students are welcome!

Teacher Partner
Encourage and build relationship with one teacher.

Furniture Mover

Testing Proctor
Monitor a classroom one morning.

Christmas Sponsorship
Help with shopping, wrapping, and/or delivering gifts.

Funding Team
Search for grant opportunities, write grants, or seek other funding.

Are you in a STEM Science Technology Engineering Math Career?
McClintock Middle School will be a STEM-focused school starting with the 2010-2011 school year and many of our Family Night Clubs already are STEM related. If you are in a STEM career and would be willing to visit the school sometime during the day or during Family Nights to tell students about what you do, please let us know.
